Rula Shunua is a woman of nature – of the countryside, the jungle, the mountains, the river and the sea. From a young age, she experienced a sensitivity to memory and subtle realms that eventually led her beyond familiar environments and into a life shaped by travel, deep listening and direct experience.
Her path has unfolded through mountains and pilgrimages, jungles and communities, learning alongside taitas, maimas, healers and pajés, while continually returning to nature as her primary teacher. Through this journey, what once felt difficult to carry gradually became a set of tools placed in service of others.

Art, dance, breath, movement and voice became central to her practice as ways of listening to the body, releasing what has accumulated within it, and restoring connection between inner and outer nature. Her work emerges from this meeting of embodied practice, ancestral remembrance and the living intelligence of the Earth.
