r.león is a DJ, producer, musician, and curator based in Tulum, Mexico. With two decades immersed in production and performance, his work as a producer and performer moves fluidly between experimental textures, global sounds, guitar-driven psychedelia, and left-field electronic.
Rather than working within a fixed genre, r.león approaches music through curiosity and context—building projects around discovery, atmosphere, rhythm, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. His practice spans DJing, live performance, production, sound design, recording, and creative direction, with a focus on bringing unexpected sounds together in ways that feel natural, immersive, and human.
Through his work as r.león, he continues to explore the space between selector, musician, and sound artist, creating experiences rooted in intentional listening, experimentation, and connection.
